Iffat Jahan Momo is an independent filmmaker from Bangladesh known for her socially conscious storytelling and creative versatility across live-action and animation.
Her debut feature film, “MUNTASIR”, which addresses the critical issue of male harassment, received widespread critical acclaim for its bold narrative and impactful direction. The film earned the prestigious ICT Division Bangladesh – Channel i Best Film Media Award, recognizing its contribution to meaningful cinema. MUNTASIR was also officially screened in the Panorama section of the Dhaka International Film Festival, further solidifying her presence in the international film circuit.
Earlier in her career, Iffat directed her first short film, “PROTISHODH – The Revenge”, which achieved significant success and won the Best Short Film Award at the Grameenphone Reel Hunt Award in Bangladesh. She also expanded her creative portfolio into animation with her animated short film “The Little Girl,” which was well received for its storytelling and artistic expression.
Iffat Jahan Momo holds a Bachelor’s degree in CSE (Animation) from the University of Dhaka, where she developed a strong foundation in animation and digital media production. Her academic background combined with her passion for filmmaking continues to shape her distinctive voice as a filmmaker committed to telling impactful and socially relevant stories.
